The 2010 Winterfest Hunter/Jumper Series is now complete
Apr 26/10 - Thanks to all for participating in the Winterfest Jumper Series. Unfortunately a very disappointing light turnout to the last show after 119 horses had competed in the Series. Thanks to Mike Radan, Course Designer, the courses and jumps looked great. Congratulations to Bello Mio who held onto the overall High Point Jumper Champion and wins a cooler from HorseSmart International plus free entries from Four Seasons Horse Shows for the upcoming Springfest Hunter/Jumper Show. Congratulations to Little Creek Misty and Kailee Dane who held onto the Championship for the Winterfest Jumper Series at RCRA.
Our thanks to HorseSmart International www.horsesmart.ca for coolers and gift certificates donated for the Champion Hunter and Champion Jumper for the 2010 Winterfest Series at Iron Horse ending Mar 27 & 28. HorseSmart also donated coolers and gift certificates for the 2010 Winterfest Series High Point Hunter Award winner, and High Point Jumper Award winner for distribution at the end of the Finale shows Mar 28 and Apr 25 respectively.

Mar 29/10: The Mar 28 Winterfest Hunter Finale Show is complete to end the 2010 Winterfest Hunter Series. Congratulations to 2010 Winterfest Hunter Series High Point Champion Absolute Lily ridden by Claire Batista and trained by Linda Hale, Old Orchard Farm. They earned 591 points throughout the Winterfest Hunter Series. Winterfest Hunter Series High Point Chart. Absolute Lily receives a cooler and gift certificate from HorseSmart International plus free entries from Four Seasons Horse Shows for the upcoming Springfest Hunter/Jumper Show - find more details on the Series High Point Champions here.

Congratulations again to Absolute Lily and Claire Batista who were Champion Hunter for the 2010 Winterfest Hunter Series at Iron Horse EC. Congratulations also to Bello Mio, ridden by Neal Bertin and Kristina Riley, and owned by Sophia Belmonte for winning the Jumper Championship for the 2010 Winterfest Hunter Series at Iron Horse EC. More information on the Mar 27-28 Winterfest Shows are found in the Show Report and Winterfest Series Championship Charts.
Mar 21/10: The first Winterfest "Start Up" Show is complete. Results and a show report are included using links to the left. A thank you to Neal and Sarah Bertin for making their facility at Oakville EC available, initiating the concept, and supporting the show. Next "Start Up" show is April 18. Jan 13/10 Announcement - In partnership with Oakville Equestrian Centre, the 2010 Winterfest Series has expanded again to offer a new "Start Up Series". For 2010 there will be two shows, with dates posted above. Schedule, Entry Form and Directions are found using links to the left. The focus of these shows are introductory opportunities for novice riders, some of whom may be from riding schools, plus riders with inexperienced horses looking for introductory experiences. Classes offered include lower height hunter, jumper, and equitation, plus gymkhana type events.
2010 Winterfest Series
We look forward to providing an opportunity for you and your horses to train, practice, and further develop jumping skills in relaxed, enjoyable competition environments. This is a great time for bringing along young horses in the early stages, inexperienced riders, horses and riders moving up, and for riders wanting an opportunity to practice over quality courses with their horses in preparation for bigger shows in the season ahead.
Quality hunter and jumper courses Modern, safe jump material with breakaway cups for oxers, are provided for the Winterfest Series. Photos on these pages are from Winterfest and Fallfest Shows. More jumps are being added for 2010.
Hunter Judges We welcome the following experienced horse people: Robin Howard, Jenny Lineker, Shara Pavan, and Steven Santia as Hunter Judges for 2010's Winterfest Series.
Event Riders welcome to all Winterfest Shows, enter individual eventing dressage classes and jumper classes. Horses competing in Dressage and Jumper classes the same weekend of the Winterfest Series at RCRA still receive a $20 discount from their Jumper show fees.
No Association memberships or horse passports are required
to compete at 2010 Winterfest Hunter and Jumper Shows as these are non-EC sanctioned schooling shows. You do not need EC, OEF, THJA, and OHJA memberships, or EC horse passports.
