May 14/08 - Updating of the show website for 2008 is in process. 2008 Prize List, Schedule, Entry and Stabling Forms are available in pdf format by Clicking Here

NEW FOR 2008
• Wednesday added to the schedule to alleviate later days.
• $2,000 Vintage Hotels Open Hunter Classic Thursday.
• $1,200 Dominion Regalia Pony Hunter Classic Friday.
• 2’6 Hunter SCH and 2’6 Low Pleasure Hunter introduced
as an opportunity for inexperienced horses/ riders.
• New jumps for the hunter rings.
• “15” – the highest multiplying factor available for hunters for yearend awards and RWF qualification.
• Added separate Jumper Divisions for Jr/Am and Open.
• Sunday Pro-Jr/Am 1.10/1.15m Jumper Classic increased to $2,500.
• Ribbons to 8th in all classes
• Water gun irrigation will be available using local hydrants for optimum footing preparation as needed.
• Expanded food services and menu.

WHAT CONTINUES
• An opportunity to combine a fun horse show with a short vacation for you, your family and
supporters. Enjoy the beauty and many activities available in Niagara-on-the-Lake and Niagara Region.
• No increase in Entry Fees.
• Plenty of options to develop horses and riders, to bring out the best performances during competition:
Open ring times, ticketed schooling, hunter and jumper schooling classes.
• A broad range of hunter, jumper, and equitation/medal classes and divisions.
• Stake classes, Hunter Classics, Jumper Classics, Division Champion/Reserve awards,
Equitation Champions, Champion Medal Riders, and Grand Champion Hunter awards.
• Special show prizes have been arranged with our valued equestrian industry and Niagara area promotion

July 18/07 - Thank you again for your support of Niagara Equestrian Festival 2007. Thank goodness a third hunter ring was added just before the show as entry numbers grew more than 157% from 2006 entries. Alot of people have expressed what a good time they had at the show and in the Niagara area, with many making it a mini-vacation. Nevertheless, the substantial growth presented some challenges to get the stabling area infrastructure ready, and food preparation available on a timely basis. We are already reviewing options to improve the overall operation and level of enjoyment for 2008 competitors. We have booked the same week for 2008 (July 9-13/08). It is expected we will go to a 5 day schedule to spread the classes out more as we do not want another marathon Friday! (As an aside, thank you to those who persevered this past Friday). It is a challenge to find an appropriate balance on how to handle the volume of rounds people want to do but still finish in a reasonable time. We will be giving this additional consideration to find a better solution for next year. We hope you enjoyed the special hospitality events - the berry smoothies on Friday, and the Saturday morning pancakes piled with fresh Niagara raspberries and blueberries were delicious, with thanks to Jocelyn, Jaclynn and Tommy!
