2010 Springfest
Gold
Dressage Show May 7-9
2010 Almost Summer
Gold
& Bronze Dressage Show May 28-30 Closing Date Wednesday May 19
The Almost Summer Dressage Show thankfully enjoyed some beautiful weather the past three days, along with dressage competition in a welcoming environment. Positive remarks were passed on about the judging, the show organization, and the facility. We are glad you enjoyed the show and will keep you posted about future shows. Show results, Division Championships, and Grand Championships are posted using links to the left.
This show offered some unique opportunities offering Gold level competition, plus Bronze level. It gave options for students and trainers to show together, when in some situations that is not possible. Our thanks to FEI judges from England, Olympian Jennie Loriston-Clarke and Joanne Graham, who flew in for the weekend. Thank you for attending this first stand alone gold dressage show for Four Seasons Horse Shows. We look forward to more in the future.
Congratulations to all the ribbon and Championship winners. Special mention goes to Olympian Gina Smith and her lovely 5 year old stallion Royal Flush who set high scores of the show with 82.8% and 85% in the FEI 5 Year Old Preliminary and Final classes respectively. Gina's long time friend and teammate Nancy McLachlan, with two good looking horses Deniros Tyme and Lancelot Fly, received the Advanced Championship and Reserve Championship respectively. Special mention to Meredith Risk and her ride Liran who also scored well in the FEI 6 year old classes; plus Young Rider Megan Lane and her horse Caravella who performed an inspiring YR Freestyle in preparation for the 2010 NAJYRC.

Directions The 2010 Springfest and Almost Summer shows
will be held at Iron Horse Equestrian Complex previously known as Hendervale
SPRINGFEST REPORTResults, plus Division Championships, and Grand Championships are posted using links to the left. Congratulations to all who participated. The show started out on a great note with a beautiful Friday morning and a broad range of tests scheduled through the three show days. The outdoor ring looked terrific with flowers and freshly painted judges booths. The barns were also freshly painted to welcome Springfest competitors. Then mother nature opened up the skies, particularly heavily Friday evening. While the indoor arena was not available for Saturday, resulting in numerous test scratches in the afternoon, it was arranged for Sunday, and by that time the sun was shining once again. Our thanks to judges Lorraine MacDonald and Dorita Peer Kozak for their valued comments and scores, and the many riders, coaches, officials, staff and volunteers who persevered to finish off the show to end on a positive note.
